Looking back I realize I have returned time after time to womanhood as a subject of my paintings. But I study humanity in order to find something common for us all. Figurative painting is a natural choice for me, but my works have always had abstract elements that allow me to work more widely with colors. In addition to painting I do public art projects.
“Creating defines my existence. It is the silently signed contract with the Creation to share the multi leveled artistry gifted. I return my gift in the form of multi artistic concepts, productions and craft”

Maria works as a freelance dancer, choreographer, actor and musical theater actor on both commercial and art projects. She’s known for her energy and playfulness, as well as for her professionalism and work ethics. Constant self improvement is a crucial part of her art and she can regularly be found at workshops, intensive courses or working with private tutors.
She’s especially interested and passionate about projects that have a critical approach to social norms. As an artist she feels obligated to use the platform she’s been given to question the status quo, to break glass ceilings and to push boundaries. Her wish is to inspire people by showing them that it is never too late to pursue your dreams and that one can accomplish pretty much anything with the right mindset, hard work and dedication.
Laura is a multi-artist who expresses herself via dance, abstract art and costumes.
She uses 'Vedic art method' in her painting and enjoys using recycled materials across all of her work, including her costumes and headdresses. In her paintings she mixes paint on canvas with sand, seeds, beads and various fabrics such as tulle, denim and lace.
Around 2014 she began using improvisation across all of her work. This allowed her to explore new unique movements and expressions in her performances, dance styles and choreography. It also allowed her to experiment with 'flow' in her artwork.
I have an endless hunger for the new: experiences, places, senses, things in general.
I reflect my life into my art, I need the continuous change. The change creates life and from the movement I create my art. My paintings express this movement, yet there is another side to them as well, that hidden sacred side covered under many painted layers.
I believe chancing styles keeps me inspired and motivated. New ideas flow in, different patterns, textures.. my love towards, music, nature, dancing, sunsets, different cultures and so much more can be seen in my art. I source my energy from colors, so my art is colourful. I nearly always listen to music while painting. This music finds its way into my art as well and plays a big role in the process.
I have many projects going on at the same time. My longtime children’s book project is inspired by my travels around the world. In the water series I explore ocean, my god, in many different styles and forms. The movement series are bubbling from my need to dance and be on the move. I jump into any chance I feel is right for my journey.
I'm an visual artist & Illustrator, from and currently living in Helsinki, and interested in almost anything when it comes to art, as long I have the tools to create I always got an idea. Cuz the time doesn't always being on my side I concentrate mostly on drawing, painting and photography.
Something I really enjoy to meet new people and just start visualizing them in a photoshoot and create a new world around them. Or organize workshops, and combine art with people, that the viewer can participate in the creating. One of passions is work with kids and especially with kids, with special needs :) I studied in the north of Finland Bachelor of Arts , in Pietarsaari and planning to apply to a Masters program in near future.
Besides working independently with my art i'm a part of an Art society "Bridge Helsinki". Music is our passion and our Dj's select music with love: house, soul, disco, hip-hop, trap, afro, jazz, latin, funk & r'n b. We produce events that feature dance performances and classes, art shows, fashion shows, visual arts, video and record releases. We host the Bridge radio show on Basso radio. We promote and unite artists and arts.
Jari’s father was a screen printer. Endless parade of new colors and surfaces was pouring out of the process. As a child, Jari could stare at these creations, each a unique new universe, for hours and hours. Today, his paintings reflect this hypnotic experience of childhood.
There is an ideological reason behind Jari’s abstract way of painting. Figurative art and familiar concepts within conceal the core of the emotional impact of an event. There are norms, rules, and values connected with recognizable objects. Therefore, Jari's mission is to portray the world as it is, under the surface of the apparent reality.
We're resetting 2018 and our featured artist run starting at the top with Thibault Monnier. Thibault is a versatile dancer and choreographer, one of the most exciting of his sort. Not only he stands out with his height, but also his fantastic movement language and presence on stage.
For me there is one word that describes Thibault and his work: INTRIGUING: Adjective - Causing a desire to know more; mysterious. Verb - To arouse the curiosity or interest of by unusual, new, or otherwise fascinating or compelling qualities; appeal strongly to; captivate. Synonymes - Fascinating, interesting, attractive
We have intruded Thibaults Youtube and Instagram to let you word battle the intriguing yourself. Read about Thibault also in the ASS-H blog post we wrote at October 2017 while visiting the dancer choreographer at the National Opera House in Helsinki.
